A lot of the illegals in my 'hood double dip. They get paid cash under the table from which they pay no taxes or SS. (so, $10/hr is really $10/hr!) Then, they also get welfare/foodstamps/WIC. If they were just getting paid lower wages but paid taxes and weren't eligible to get handouts I'd agree.

That is probably 90% of the illegals.

For those who think they are just minimum wage or under-minimum wage workers - they should ask themselves how they have enough money, on these supposed salaries, to send back to Mexico enough money to constitute 1/3 of their national economy. This figure was given by a very friendly to Mexico speaker on a Dallas station (before I disconnected my TV).

Anyone in this nation making $10.00 and hour, taking care of all his own and his families financial responsibilities (taxes, food, insurance, etc.) does not, can not have enough money left over to send back to anywhere.

If they paid taxes and weren't eligible for handouts - they wouldn't be illegal would they?
