The envelope was the same color as the letter which (Im not good at colors) looked beige to me. As other Freepers mentioned, the paper was of high quality and it had the WH seal embossed at the top of the letterhead. The signature of Bush was definitely machine printed.
Did you get the impression the letter you got was in response to any particular communique?
Saber, I think it probably was in response to the numbersusa faxes I have sent out. Though I can't be sure since I also called the WH a few times and left my name and address.
Either that or there's a droid at the WH that disapproves of 245(i) and put your name on the list to garner attention to its still impending passage.
