I love Mexico, I love Mexicans in general. I have lived there, I expect to live there again.

That has nothing to do with immigration policy.

Immigration policy must serve the interests of the citizens. It should never be a tool for managing wage rates, or managing voting patterns, or managing the ethnic mix.

Immigration rates must be set at a figure which can be easily assimilated. I would suggest the current rates are about 10 times that figure, if you include both legal and illegal entries. Which you must do.

Immigration should be limited to family members of citizens, and a few specialists. Thats it.

I would suggest a several year moratorium on immigration, except by exception.

I support Tancredo, and I am calling for immediate National Guard patrols along the border, particularly the rural areas where #1 illegals are dying and #2 Mexican soldiers are crossing and firing on Border Patrol agents.

How about this immigration reform plan:?

An immigration moratorium of ten years.

Aftwards, the following take place:

Immigration resumes with the following reform:

Kept at 75,000-100,000 per year, and 80% contained to the countries of Europe, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

Other measures also taken:

The "Anchor-Baby" Amendment rescinded
"Family Reuinification disqualified as a means for automatic citizenship. Rather, it will be considered, along with the benefits to the US.
The Border Patrol beefed-up 500% on the border.
The INS beefed up 1000% in the interior.
Welfare for illegals is eliminated.
Fines on businesses who hire illegals. (Actually, just the following of the law)

There may be a few others, but what do you think about these suggestions?

And #3: law-abiding AMERICAN citizens living along the border are being terrorized in their own homes.
