I was proving their argument 'we're a nation of immigrants' to be the bovine excrement it is. Every nation is, at some point, a natin of immigrants. That's no excuse to allow unfettered and continued immigration to harm those already there. I'm tired of paying more taxes. There's almost 8% unemployment in my area already. We can't give jobs to the people already HERE. Why do we need immigration? So we can have lower wages and more unemployed people?

You are correct. The Garden of Eden was not a "nation of immigrants". Everywhere else since has been.

It doesn't make sense does it. However, could it be to further bankrupt the American economy, as Americans are out of work, more unemployment payments are cashed out, the economy continues to tank, resulting in the overtaking of the American economy and dollar by a hemispheric or regional currency and government?

It doesn't take much thinking to figure that if you cracked down on illegal immigration and the deportation, as well as eliminating welfare, to realize that Americans would go to work, unemployment levels would lower, the economy would improve, and we'd have better border security at the same time. This is so common sense, yet why aren't they doing or suggesting such things. See one of my earlier comments. Money, Votes, Globalism.
