Hi there -
rows are one thing - frankly I think they look nice and neat - but dreads are another - I'm sorry but they just look too dirty - and like the person is too lazy to keep their hair neat.

Of course this is from a middle aged white woman.. haha

Seriously tho' I looked at your page - and your hair looks fine - we have a girl at work who wears her hair in dreads - and it always LOOKs dirty - I know it isn't - but it's just so gritty looking.

To be sure, dreadlocks are an "acquired" taste, if you will. I have a relative who has them, and I hated how he looked when he first began to grow them out.

But now, they've grown on me a bit, but not so much to where I'd want them! Every time we see each other I break out singing like Bob Marley (I shot the sheriff!). Ummm... That's Bob Marley without the weed.

Thanks, by the way. That pic is when they were short (5-6"). They're 13" now! Another thing. In the morning, it's S,S,& S (military jargon), unwrap the rows and go! So it's a very convenient style.
