Gephardt's got connections

House Minority Leader Richard A. Gephardt has talked Barbra Streisand into singing for her supper ... and the Democratic Party's Congressional Campaign Committee.

Streisand, 60, is a lifelong Democrat and activist, though she has maintained a low political profile since pal Bill Clinton left office. Streisand, according to the Philly Inquirer, will sing three songs at a $500-a-ticket gala Sept. 29 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. The Dems hope their little party can raise $4 million for their party.

While this fundraiser is intended to support the RATs in Washington, D.C., we plan to use our FReep of their event to blast OUR OWN local RAT, California's soon-to-be-EX-governor, Gray Davis:
