Texan Cowboy Joe Buck moves to New New York to work as a gigolo. He doesn't understand the ways of the city, shown when he gives his first customer the fare home. When is conned by homeless Ratzo Rizzo, the two get together, Rizzo managing Buck's career. They realize that they can't cope in the city and plan to move to Florida. Midnight Cowboy was the only X-rated film to win the Best Picture award.
