I'd love to see a photo of the jack-in-the-box with Teddy Bear, if you have one. :)

BUMP!

Oh thanks for putting these photos up for me Abner! They are so creative. My parents just came into the room and I've been boasting about you cool FReepers and your awesome flag balloon.

The mention of Washington DC gave me a thought. I doubt if you could overfly downtown, but if it could be arranged, why couldn't it be unfurled on the Mall? It would be a tremendous occassion! Has that ever been considered?

Funny you should ask.

We checked into that and the first problem is that the Mall is a National Park. That equals no aircraft. So, then we checked into some kind of waiver. We got all the way to Gail Norton on that one, thanks to the mayor of Grove City, Ohio who saw the balloon this spring and understood. Anyhow, even at that level, it was a no go.

It would be truly awesome!

Thanks for your interest Dixie.

The logo in question is a shrunken pic one of my hand painted silk kites.

I am hoping to follow the example of the U.S. Flag Balloon and start traveling around doing exhibitions and promoting patriotism.

I am always looking for new ideas, so if you have any please let me know.

Kites are always popular with kids. Why not work through the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls, Church Youth groups and also Abner. Perhaps y'all could work together to get the word out.

Charleston, SC has a several big festivals every year - one of which is involved with the arts. Your kites certainly fit into that catergory. I will look around my area and see what I can find.
