When it makes it to the LA Times on the Front Page, Simon will have scored very well!
A publicly released post-Labor Day Simon poll by Public Opinion Strategies showed him leading Davis 41-36% among likely voters.
This dude is really on edge. :-) I truly believe if Simon can just keep his composure and look credible during the debate(s), he'll seal Davis' fate. We all know Grayout will come across as mean and nasty. He's not going to win many new fans. About his only hope is to make voters believe Simon can't handle the job (see Torricelli in NJ). If Davis fails to do that, I think he'll be looking for work.
This comment is based on the assumption that the debates get some kind of reasonable and accurate media coverage. Could be a very big assumption!
