If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, Steyn is right as usual.

<< President Bush has to confront the real root causes--the comprehensive failure of the Middle East's various despotisms. >>

And failed islamanaziism's endemic psychopathological hesperophobia.

And, guess what?

I reckon President Bush gets it!

And so will they!

a New York Times/CBS News poll...According to this survey, 75 percent of Americans place ''a lot of blame'' or ''some blame'' for the 9/11 mass murder on ''United States policies over the years.''

How can the New York Times and CBS News, while living under the protections and freedoms provided by the United States, use their polls to promote a blame-America, left-wing agenda?

I wish that Mark would do a column on the fact that the Islamists are colonizing europe right now, and attempting to colonize the US. They move in, take over, make demands, fail to assimilate. What else could that be other than an attempt to colonize?

NYSlimes reply: details, schmetails

Where is the text from the poll questions themselves? Unless you were born yesterday, it's easy to see how numbers can be manipulated and produce the "results" to which you strive. Perhaps the "blame for the 9/11 mass murder" column would get an additional tally if one responsed "The government should have protected us better".

I've pondered the effects of Torch's law. However I still recognize evil {Islamic jihad}.

You make a good point about the poll questions.

IMO, minimal ethical standards would require that any organization that commissions a poll post the complete poll with results for each question, along with nstructions to the poll-takers, on their web site for anyone to see.

Additionally, any news reports based on the poll should include the URL to the location where the poll is posted.

If ever there was an occasion for the great Clintonian invocation that ''we need to move on,'' a grudge over the First Crusade is surely it.

I don't know why it should surprise us they still carry a grudge from the 11th Century. They are trying to impose law from the 11th Century!
