Well, the problem is more the party majority than it is the man. The Democrat Party itself is the one promoting abortion. As long as they hold the majority we will never get the judges in place that can overturn Roe vs Wade. And, as long as the Demos hold enough votes to block legislation, they will forever hold us hostage.

Yes, you are right about that.

It is really unfortunate.

But I really think the GOP should make a bigger fuss than it is about the judicial crap they're pulling.

I can just imagine Paul Begala if the shoe was on the other foot.

Propaganda time, in the absence of a majority in congress.

Serious question: do you think Roe v. Wade really can be overturned? What majority of Americans are against abortion? Is it realistic to think that abortion can be completely overturned or that more reasonable restrictions (no abortions past first trimester unless life is seriously in danger kind of things, absolutely no partial birth abortion, no abortion in cases of mental retardation, etc) can be placed on abortions?

The key to conservative political survival in this nation is to overcome the edge the leftist media has over public opinion. We all know that to be fact.

We have people on this forum from all geographical regions of the country. I suggest as many as possible write their opinions and send them to their local newspapers for publication in their opinions section. Bring up the fact that the democrats have stonewalled the federal judicial nominations and what this has done to cripple our judicial system. I'm sure they can point to other well-documented facts that appeal to all voters on how the democrats have misinformed the people on the Republicans side of the issues.

I think of the countless hours we spent on this forum uncovering the democrats' corruption and treason in the late '90's and then experience the outrage that they got off scott free. It's tough for me to expect anything positive from politicians. That's how it has affected me. I'm willing to put off my final judgment long enough to see a Republican controlled House and Senate under a Republican President but, I am expecting a reversal of big government and a lot of other things that mirror my principles.
