I can't disagree with that! It IS right on target. It's also why I call them Demoncrats. They are pure evil and want to make evil a way of life for you and I through laws and intimidation.

Me: "Why did less than half of those eligible to vote cast a vote in the last election?"

You: "Because most of them are dumb as dirt and the Demos couldn't wake them from their drug induced stupors in time to catch the poll bus. Those who care enough, voted."

Jim, Jim, Jim...

Libertarians got their load of hash in? Who knows?

That's pretty low, even for you.

While Democrats are certainly corrupt, I'll have to think about it for a while before I condemn them as evil.

I believe that "partial birth abortion" serves as an effective litmus test to insure that only evil people rise to power in the Democratic Party.

Senator Jean Carnahan should send 'em a "Thank You" letter.

Perhaps there are many other things which make people lethargic and fosters a Don't Care attitude. In my opinion it is the natural result of being told over and over again how oppressive all of society is to people and how helpless and powerless people are as individuals to effect any changes in their lives. The more whiney the cop-outs and excuses which liberals use the more people just throw their hands up and give up, declaring 'Why bother? It's all society's fault that I'm poor and uneducated. Everyone is against me!' In that regard, the Libertarian and Democratic Party's own message works against them.

Post #2 - You'll write him a whiny letter?

LOL. You're such a damn blockhead, that one can't even get angry at your silly attempted insults. Seriously, look at your above dialogue and tell me you don't come off as someone who regards coloring books as great works of literature.

God bless you though, you gave me a needed laugh before I turn in. Here you win a prize:

Well, you asked about those who didn't vote. They didn't vote because they are uneducated, uncaring, or otherwise occupied.

You know - we hear from many posters how they must vote their true conscience to make a point that they do not accept the republican or democratic parties - they vote 3rd party to make a statement.

Just who do they make a statement to? Nobody cares that Joe Jones voted 3rd party, nobody stops to wonder why, nobody asks - "do you think they are sending a message?". In reality their vote is just that a vote like each and every other vote in the U.S.

Whether their vote does anything or not is dependent on how they place their vote. If a third party had a chance of winning - great - I would be all for it. Yet - why would I throw a vote away that has a chance to move the country in one direction or another?

A vote in reality will be either for the Republican party or for the Democratic party.

Oh, and the old statement - "maybe if we get a really bad one in there and it tears down the country, it will lead to a major takeover of government and we will then get our constitutional starting point government" is in reality someone's pipe dream.

If this country is torn down much more - it will be overtaken by the socialists, the anti-war crowd, or muslims and will become a pawn of the U.N.

That said, if we give Georigie the house and senate and he doesn't do the right thing this time, I promise you I'll find a way to cancel out every single 2004 Bush vote on this forum.

Barking isn't biting.

Well, I also hate it when people blame everything but themselves, or believe that everyone else owes them. But if you're saying people like me encourage handouts, you're off the mark. I do think that the Libertarian Party engages in blaming the Republicans, or the legal system. Perot would also don a tin foil hat on occasion for that matter.

This is probably the best post in the whole thread:

I certainly don't see the voters flocking to third parties. In fact, looks like they are fleeing third parties in droves. Thanks to Ross Perot, Patrick J. Buchanan and Harry Browne.

This is quite true, however you're not going to assuage any disgruntled Republicans over by calling them crooks and idiots and traitors.

When somebody doesn't vote, how could you blame anybody but the non-voter for his or her non-voting behavior?

Jim has a tendency to go conformist on us. Probably for good reason as he's a big time tactician.

The Constitution IS about tatics and procedures -- the Constitution is not just about the BOR.

Hate to burst your bubble, but massive success? At what? Big dreaming?

There were once seven people, sitting around a borrowed room with no other assets between them but a "big dream". At the time they were considered a joke by political leaders, hardly worth considering.

Eighty years later, over a billion people now live under communism in China... a "massive success", if it can be called that, of the dreams of those seven young people: the first cell of communism in China.

Say what you will of the Libertarians (and I'm not one, BTW). But insisting that there are only two parties - and that your own is inherently "good" - smacks of stagnancy and short-sightedness. Proprietor of this joint though you are, you can't deny that if both major parties haven't run out of steam already, they're about to. And I ain't calling anyone a fool but they're foolish to keep insisting that voting any single party across the board is the best hope for America. Both major parties are corrupted by power - they exist only for power - and there's no justifying a substitution of one for the other.

First congratulations on you recent marriage.

Thanks :-)

Second, Are you gonna vote Republican in the next few years?

I never vote Republican. Or Democrat or Libertarian. My vote's always for the individual, never a party (though technically that's what a primary election is ;-)

Third, May God continue to bless...

God bless you too brother (sister?)
