Those people see a glass with some liquid in it and will assert that the glass is empty. The unapeaseables can never be satisfied. They'd starve to death, with a loaf of bread under each arm, because the bread was wheat, or rye, and they only want white.

Seems to me that having someone promise me 50% of what I want and giving me 25% is a hell of a lot better than someone promising me 90% and deliverying 0%.

Yep.

You either don't listen well, or have a faulty memory. President Bush said, after 9/11/01, that this is a different kind of war and that none of us should expect to hear very much about it. That's what's been going on and any PR work ( biting his lip, crying, letting cats out of bags, weekly, on T.V> and radio ... is NOT this presidents style, unwise and wouldn't do any good at all !) should be handled quite differently than what you want.

The hearings are just POSTURINGS for cameras. Both House get briefed . Are you THIS much of a political naif ?

The more people, who get off their duffs and work to get out the vote, this November, to help get GOP majorities in both Houses, the better. Like them or not, trust them or not, RINOS or NOT , once we have more than a slip of a majority, in both Houses, the RINOS can be made to toe the line. Just what part of this , is so incomprehensible and difficult for you to understand ?

Look, you may imagine that you are interested in politivs ; however, the problem with that, is you don't know anything , at all, abouut it, nor how it works. George Bush can do whatever he wants to , just as long as he has the guts to do it ? IN WHAT UNIVERSE ?

Trust me when I tell you I know plenty about politics and politicians.

And I listen very carefully and my memory is usually pretty good.

I have found on FR that whenever I react angrily to a post it usually is because it rings a little too closely to home.

I'm not up for a shouting match this morning, I spoke my piece.

But I'd advise anyone who is thinking along the lines that you are to consider whether or not there is more we can do, or more the GOP can do. I think there is.

I am NOT going to blast my own horn, neither am I about to divulge personal info, on this forum ; however, from your post, believe me, anyone who really knows and understand politics, knows that you don't ... no matter how much you protest.

I'm not up for a flame war, nor a " shouting match " ; but, you are patently wrong about all that you have thus far posted, except about the fact that WE, those of us on FR, could and should do more. The MORE, is to work zealously, to get every GOP candidate elected and oust the damned Dems. RINOS or not, liberal / crazy or not; oust the Dems, in vast numbers, F-I-R-S-T ! All else is futile, unproductive, and in some cases, blindly stupid and wilfully so.

The idea that a (R) behind an elected representative or senator will save this country is pure BS and you know that as well as I. The only way that we, as a people, will ever regain control of our government is when we realize that party politics are not the answer. We must select our representatives regardless of label but because of who they are and what they believe and what they stand for. Nothing else will work and nothing else will save us or deter us from the path on which we are currently traveling. The idea of holding ones nose when voting is no longer viable, we must work to elect those people who are honest and principled and if the candidates we select are not of the republican party, too bad. The problems we face today will not be solved by party politics. They will only be solved by a thinking electorate that will take the time to get involved.

Bump for the cold hard facts.

By Republican no shows, I was referencing Congress, not the voter. I do agree that ballot stuffing is out of control. Otherwise, HRC would not be there.

And the only reason I can thing of is there hands are dirty too.

I like to blame every thing that’s bad on the Rat’s like most here. But the fact remains that some of the things we want to blame on the Rat’s started or came from the Republicans. ( like the dealings with China )

I’m not happy with either party. Still pick R’s over D’s But some times feel like being given a choice between living under Hitler or Stalin and choosing a pickup or a race car to drive toward the NWO.

Would you and your ilk PLEASE stop using the NWO ? Since you haven't a clue, as to the origins, of this spurious, fallacious, mind numbing garbage, I'm going to tell you, from whence it came. Then, perchance, you'll have an epiffany, and realize just how pathetically stupid the use of that is.

In 1797, an ultra-conservative ( not the type of Conservative, that this forum is for !) French priest, the Abbe Augustine de Barruel , published a book , " MEMORIES POUR SERVIR A L'HISTOIRE DU JACOBINISME ".This book blamed the Masons and Jews, for the French Revolution. A bit later, it was expanded upon, renamed : " THE PROTOCOLS OF THE ELDERS OF ZION " and turned into one of the foulest, most error filled pieces of disgusting, hateful propaganda, that the world has ever know. Ahhhhhhhhh ... but guess what is also in this piece of trash book ? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ? Why, the very FIRST written use of the dreadful, horrible, NWO; that's what . This book, written by a lunatic, filled with hate, lies, and paronia, spawned today's conspiracy theories, propaganda, tinfoil hat crap; not to mention the anti-Semitic virulance , followed by intollerance , torture, wars and death, unseen since the Inquisition .

You claim that Dems and Republicans ( or vice-versa ) are the equivolent of Hitler and Stalin ? You are a brain dead, ill educated, pompous, person, who hasn't any understanding of history, facts, and can't reason ; let alone think. You want a choice ? YOU HAVE TWO CHOICES . That's it. They aren't perfect choices ; however, NOTHING, especially you, is " PERFECT ", in this life. This is actually the way the FFs set up this country. They didn't want a " democracy ". They , early on, saw that no parties was a VERY bad idea. They did NOT think that more than 2 was a good one.

super bump on 288

That is so true that americans vote for their 'team' in politics and don't even care about the issues. This war between repubs and dems has gone on so long and is so deep and bitter that this is exactly the case. Witness how the news media couldn't bring itself to bring us a whole bunch of news during the 1990's because it was news that would benefit republicans. As your article showed, witness how labor unions stick with the democrat party even though the democrats support WTO and such. The unions are like a lot people, they'll do anything to oppose the republicans. Witness how black americans vote 90% democrat. Witness how the large bulk of mexican americans vote democrat even though the democrats in many states are seeing to it that kids are indoctrinated with pro-homosexual junk in schools. Do mexican americans really want that for their kids, the answer is no. They are just voting for their team. Look at George Bush, he's so strong-willed to get his 'team' to win that he is growing the government by 13.9% even though this is what republicans have always stood against.

People are sick of both parties. We need to beat up both parties. Throw The Bums Out!!! Vote against all incumbents who displease you. If the new guy you vote in displeases you, then you can vote against him next time.

Too many people have let the pimps of the media and election industries convert our government into a promotional prop for their own interests.

I can remember Gwen Ifill (on Washington Week in Review) almost in tears and complaining about the lack of access to members of the Bush Administration. She said, "After all, we have a job to do!"

I yelled at the television, "So does the President and his Administration. So get over it!"

I generally agree with you glorygirl; Especially the part about 'negative' campaigning. The republicans are idiots to avoid negative campaigning. Negative campaigning in 1980 was awesomely effective at ejecting liberal democrats from the US Senate. I personally advocate negative campaigning against both democrat and republican incumbents.

But the problem with the Republican party is that they really do dislike conservatives, they do stand for the rich generally and they don't care about america. We ridicule some of them as RINO's, but the problem is that these people are real republicans. The Republican voters may be a lot more tilted to the right than the republican leaders, but that doesn't matter.

Republicans today are growing the government at 13.9% and most of the growth is not for either defense or homeland security. Sadly, I've already decided that the republicans are just as much an enemy of mine as the democrats are and I used to be a very loyal republican.

In my state, Arizona, a liberal group of republicans took over about 6-7 years ago after a conservative group of republicans was pushed aside. The liberal group has performed just as terribly as could be. They are a disaster. The more I think about it, people who tell me I have to vote for these dogs are offending me. I vote against the republicans because of the things that republicans in my state and at the national level as well have actually done.

And let me say also that these republicans are liars. They campaign one way and rule another. There are exceptions, but normally republicans are liars. Did George Bush say in the campaign that he was going to grow government faster than anyone since LBJ? I place a high value on integrity. Republicans come up short.

I also have a long memory. I remember the day when Alan Keyes was debating Bush and at the end the various republican candidates were all shaking each others' hands. George Bush on that day refused to shake Alan Keyes' hand. This is not an aberration. Bush' father spoke very negatively of reagan in the 1980 campaign. National Review said that in private moments the senior Bush had tremendous venom for conservatives. I remember when Jim Rhodes, leader of house repubs for about 10 years, retired. He said conservatives were no good at that time. I remember when Jerry Ford said in 1980 after Reagan had already won all the primaries that Ronald reagan was unfit to be the republican nominee.

After a whole bunch of slaps in the face, don't you get the message? I do.

I think it is evil to call someone evil because of what they believe.

Satan believes lots of evil things. Is HE, in your estimation, EVIL?

It is NOT evil to call someone evil if what he believes IS evil!

So when we call the terrorists evil because they believe that we need to be destroyed, it is really us who are evil? I DON'T THINK SO.
