Iraq has warned that it will not abide by any new resolutions adopted by the United Nations Security Council.

State radio said the decision to reject any new conditions had been made during a meeting involving President Saddam Hussein and senior officials.
"American officials are trying to issue or pass a new, bad resolution by the Security Council. Iraq declares it will not deal with any new resolutions," the brief announcement said.
Under growing international pressure, Iraq announced on Monday it would accept the unconditional return of international weapons inspectors nearly four years after they left.
US President George W Bush has been pressing for a new UN resolution to set a deadline for Iraq to comply with outstanding UN demands, or face military force.
Since he announced his stand to the UN General Assembly in New York, world powers have been wrangling over how best to deal with Iraq.
Some permanent members of the Security Council are resisting the US move.
US suspicion
The chief UN arms inspector, Hans Blix, hopes to have an advance party in Iraq by 15 October.
However the US believes the Iraqi offer to allow in weapons inspectors is a ploy.
In a draft resolution to US Congress on Thursday, Mr Bush asked lawmakers to authorise all necessary and appropriate means to ensure Iraqi compliance with UN resolutions.
"If the United Nations Security Council won't deal with the problem, the United States and some of our friends will," Mr Bush said.

US Secretary of State Colin Powell said Washington would find ways to stop weapons inspectors going back to Iraq unless there was a new Security Council resolution on the issue.

Hmmmm, Using what magic would we be able to do that? What if we warned inspectors that we could not guarantee their safety from things falling from the sky? If we gave them a deadline of Oct 16, 2002, one day after they arrived, they would not have to even unpack. If the UN does not enact new resolutions with strong teeth, we will probably have to act alone or with whatever countries want to be at the eventual dividing up table, when this chapter is finally ended.
