Can't do that, they may vote republican. You're right. Can't upset Jorge "The Messiah" Bush. Wouldn't be prudent.

stories like this make me so mad.
It's completely absurd. A criminal alien canadian of central american decent sending 5 kids to American schools on the taxpayers dime. The system is so twisted that sometimes I think it would just be better to pull the whole damn thing down that to try and fix it.

At the Mexican Independence Day parade Pataki came out for amnesty for illegal aliens - guess that he wants their votes. The latest estimate of illegal Mexicans in New York - 400,000 I wonder what the total number of illegals is these days.

Something that the New York Slimes conveniently omits from this article is that suburban school districts around New York City investigate sham enrollments of
American kids born and living in New York City slums who've spent their entire lives less than 50 miles from the suburban school their families try to enroll them in by sham addresses.
A friend who was a school finance officer for such an affluent suburb's school system spent a lot of his worktime investigating whether Reggie really did live in the Westchester County school district his mother back in Harlem was trying to enroll him in. When it - often - turned out that the kid really lived back in Harlem but Mom was trying to enroll him in the affluent suburban schools using a friend's or relative's address that the kid didn't live at, he was summarily expelled. And those kids were native-born Americans who'd never lived outside of New York State!
New York City's schools are grossly-overcrowded now - due largely to children of illegals. Many arrive eighth-grade age - but have had only two or three years of school in their homelands, creating immense problems - according to city community-college administrator Herman Badillo.
Get the sticker!

Pataki's political whoring puts the clinton's to shame. He also went to Vieques to demand the Navy stop live fire training there.
To: OldFriend
There is no possibility that I would even consider thinking about voting for Pataki again.

His whoring was designed to get him re-elected. Rudy had no moral component from the start, supporting every kind of moral perversion. That being said, Rudy was probably the best Mayor of NYC ever. Pataki is a vast improvement over McCall.
How goes NY, so goes the region.........
To: OldFriend
Pataki is actually running to left of McCall - wait till you see the tax increases he will propose if he is reelected.

I keep waiting to see what the Left will do when the UN declares a human fetus to be a human deserving of human rights. (With ever growing Muslim and Catholic populations comprising large voting blocks at the UN, it could happen.) They are so anxious to let the World Government overrun our Constitution in the hame of Human Rights... what if it meant no more abortion rights? THEN what? Hm?

There is no other way to fix the budget. Most likely the first thing will be the reurrection of the commuter tax.....and that will be the beginning.
The difference between McCall and Pataki is where the added revenues will be allocated.

There is no other way to fix the budget. How 'bout cutting spending?
