I don't do abuse reports, but if you wanna do it yourself, feel free.. but I guess this kind of response is what I shoud expect from someone who thinks the severe beating of a child is no one else's business...

I meant sending one in on myself.

[Helps self to a big old heaping plate of Crow]
Just saw the vid. That wasn't discipline, that was a whacked out nutjob.
I think TrustButVerify was right. Some folks (guilty here) have an ingrained distrust of Authority - any authority - that's so deep it can be blinding, and shuts doewn reason. That and I do tend to dig in and not budge when people are trying push.
And I probably didn't communicate what was crawling up my nose about the whole thing from the beginning, so here it is:
New story, allegations of child abuse. hadn't seen the vid yet. "great, another parent going to jail for disciplining their kid" story.
Reporters have an agenda, and go for emotional impact over accuracy, damn near everytime, and having dealt with them (I had a good friend get murdered a few years back) I know this for a fact. This is one of the reasons they'll refer to a 20 year old gangbanger who gets himself shot breaking into some ones home as a "child"
Now the other thing - For every valid case of abuse (like this one) there are dozens if not hundrends of cases where CPS just flat runs amok, stealing kids for little or no reason, taking babies from their mothers in the hospital without justification, sticking them in foster homes run by pedaphile dykes and queers, and flat out losing kids, etc (I can get links to these stories but it'll take time - btu I'm pretty sure anything I've got has probably already been posted on FR)
These things (the woman beating the kid) happen. there are bad natured, if not flat out evil people in the world. But this local story runs nation wide. Why?
So people can get hit with a barrage of interviews with CPS social workers crying crocdile tears and whining about how they just dont have the resources or neccesary powers to "save the children". Right. they do enough evil with what they got. They get a lot of milage out of things like this.
Look at the ratio of Valid problems vs. the trumped up stuff they use to meddle in family business.
Save the children from what? Christian parents who homeschool and make the kids do "excessive" chores are a danger and a menace, but it's perfectly allright for a couple leatherfags in SanFranCisco to adopt a baby boy?
This is what they do now. Imagine what they'll do with more. People get justifiably riled up when they flood te media outlets with despicable things like that. What will joe blow be thinking of when he goes into the voting booth to vote on "Save the Children Proposition XXX", the SUV wackjob, or say, the kid that CPS lost in florida or the folks wo gt their kids yanked for not letting the CPS vampires in the house, the homeschoolers in cali who are being shaken down and threatened or any of a hundred ( like i said, a can get links just not right away) other current abuses by CPS.
