The radio host on the receiving end calls it "the spit heard round the world."
The California Libertarian Party calls it the last straw for an eccentric candidate who wasn't the leadership's choice of nominee to begin with.
Libertarian officials have yanked the party's endorsement of its candidate for governor in the Nov. 5 election, Gary David Copeland, after a Sept. 8 interview on KABC Radio AM 790 in Los Angeles, in which Copeland spat on talk show host Brian Whitman.

In fact, Camejo was also on Whitman's show that night, and Copeland was sticking up for him during the argument that led to the spitting. "When any third-party candidate does something like that," Camejo said, "it can create the impression 'they're all just nuts.' "
Sticking up for the Greens candidate, eh?

BTTT. Their image seems to need a little spit-n-polish.

Their image seems to need a little spit-n-polish. I can't wait for the replacement. LOL

"Libertarian officials have yanked the party's endorsement of its candidate for governor in the Nov. 5 election..." Meaningless.

The replacement is undergoing surgery to have his salivary glands removed...just a precaution.

"When any third-party candidate does something like that," Camejo said, "it can create the impression 'they're all just nuts.' " As time marches on, the proof of them all being "nuts"...just keeps spilling out. Lest we forget Browne's anti-American rantings post 9/11/01?
Had his followers known he would be so rabid, would they have voted for him?

Some of them still will. Why they think that they're Conservatives and worse yet, better ones than the rest of os here, is beyond me.
To: Cultural Jihad
The next Libertarian candidate will be just as spittin mad. Madness is one of their trademarks.

CJ, you are a very, very naughty boy. Now go over there and tell the nice man in the Druid robes that you're sorry and don't forget to carry your umbrella.
You know, CJ, the true genius of the Libertarian Party is the way they've been able to popularize the Velcro® bumper sticker!
Did you hear that the party leadership met in an emergency strategy session last week and came up with a nifty new idea to increase party identification with the general public. They are all going to get big L's tattooed to their forehead!
Let's see, in 1998 it was Steve "the fugitive" Kubby and then in 2002 it was Gary "spitball" Copeland. Whoa, are they on a roll or what? What can they possibly come up with to top that pair?
What, me initiate Force?
Oops, maybe I shouldn't have asked!

After reading remarks recently made by leaders of the Libertarian Party criticizing Jeb Bush and suggesting that he "has a moral obligation to pardon every nonviolent drug offender", I WITHDREW ALL SUPPORT FROM THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY.
To: Savage Beast
And it's a short step from pardons to reparations.
Make no mistake about it. The people screaming loudest for the decriminalization of marijuana might call themselves libertarians, but they have their eyes set firmly on the nanny government purse just like all good socialists do.
SSI for drug dependance? Medicaid marijuana? You bet. These and more.
