Yeah, I know but the farmer vote is nearly always Republican. The fact is, it doesn't matter if it's the Dems or the Republicans, the farm bill is always going to pass. Too many small towns in rural America are totally dependent on them, not to mention the farmers themselves.

You're probably right about the farmer vote being Republican. I don't know, just my impression that the South Dakota farmers will vote for whoever promises them the best program. I never know, my friends that I think are conservative turn around and tell me they hate Bush, then the ones I thought were liberal tell me they love him. I give up!
