I agree - JFK operated at a different level - more respectful of the country. I like George Will on X42: "He may not have been the worst President - but he was the worst person ever to be President."

Just where did all that energy come from by the way? Did Clinton have the super energy his supporters say or was it something else?
A landlady in Arkansas lived in the apartment next to the one she rented to Roger Clinton in the 1980's. She had tons of dirt on Roger and Bill's cocaine binges, sex parties with underage girls, and other illegal behavior.
It got about as much attention as the interview with the Little Rock ER staff who claimed to have treated the Gov Clinton for cocaine overdose. The press never, ever asked why Clinton would never release his medical records (unheard of for a president--then or since).

Too bad there are Republicans who can't just be thankful for the leader we now have without also wanting him to entertain them. I'm glad the man gets his rest; we all know how important that is to function well.

Excellent point.

"In its October issue, the New York-based fashion and style periodical features a story called "The Big Chill," about the lack of social buzz in Washington. Of course, most anybody in Dallas, Austin or Midland could have told them this before George W. ever put his hand on the Bible. If you expected George W. Bush the party animal to show up in Washington, you're 20 years too late."
One thing that Liberals fail to understand is that the majority of people eventually grow up!

Thanks for the ping Ohio. It seems to me there is a fair amount of entertaining done at the White House, both public (State dinners etc) and private (real friends). Perhaps Sally and the Sycophants don't fit into either category and are therefore, not invited. Cry me a river, Sal.
To: ohioWfan
oh, you
nailed it!
Let's see.....who is more lonely?
A man with a loving wife and great marriage, a family who loves him, loyal friends from years and years of developing meaningful relationships, and a personal relationship with his God...... OR a pre-pubescent 'President' with a non-marriage to a non-wife, who hasn't got a single meaningful relationship in the world because he uses all the people he meets.....especially weak and gullible young females.....but parties hearty?
Tough choice, eh?
Thanks for the ping!
To: mountaineer
did you HAVE to do that ????
To: Miss Marple
I don't know what it is, however, you always seem to need to specify that your husband enjoys your company. Most of the women I've met who were like that were 180 degrees off on that one.
To: Frohickey
I hear that the ChiComs are suffering from withdrawals of state secrets as well.
Good one, Fro!
To: Miss Marple
Thanks for the ping, friend.
To: Wait4Truth
One of most remarkable things I have seen him do is stop playing "Hail To The Chief" every time he enters a room.Whereas the worthless scum co-presidents that infested the WH for 8 years before Bush insisted on having it played at every opportunity.
To: ohioWfan
Thanks for the ping, girlfriend.

I think we would see a nationwide block party, the likes of which our country has never experienced!
So true! But we dream in vain on that one.
To: ItisaReligionofPeace
Actually, I rarely mention my husband here. You must be thinking of someone else.
To: Miss Marple
You know, I am embarrassed to say that I think you may be right. It is one of the Bush babes, but now that you mention it, it is a different one. You are actually a decent lady and I apologize.
To: ItisaReligionofPeace
Well, I am sure the other lady is nice as well. You know, it is dangerous to make speculation on people's lives based on what you read here...for good or ill.
For all you know, I could have a fictitious husband, or three boyfriends, or no one but an old cat to keep me company. LOL!
To: Miss Marple
very true. The particular person I am speaking of is a nasty woman who has posted about her husband, family etc. She is a little delusional in my opinion, but your point about it being the internet is well taken.
To: ItisaReligionofPeace; Miss Marple
I don't know what it is, however, you always seem to need to specify that your husband enjoys your company. You, sir, are clueless.
Perhaps your wife doesn't enjoy your company, and thus has led to your sensitivity on the subject.
To: ItisaReligionofPeace
Oops....missed your apology to Miss Marple. Sorry.
