I get several of these a day. These scammers have actually lured people over to their country. Holding them ransom.
I can't believe people fall for their lies.
Dear Mr. Johnson... Thank you for your email. I am honored...honored...that you would ask me for help in your time of need. I have always stated that The USA is a best friend to the Congolese Republic. I will immediately let you know of my PO Box number and bank account number as soon as I have things "straightened out", pending a divorce. However, if you could possibly wire me about $25,000, I will immediately get to work in setting up a false account for the deposit (trust me, I've done it a lot). I would be glad to come over and meet your colleagues, assuming of course that TV cameras are involved. Plus a hoagie and a virgin or two, if you could spare them.
