I don't understand the rush to put this story in the "BS" category. I don't know that it's true, but having been through a few airports myself in the last six months, I know it could be.

Let's face it folks, the best and the brightest are not going into airport security work for the INS. It's also a fact that there is a type who goes into this line of work because they get to wear a uniform and act like a big shot; we've all seen that happen, from actual policemen to security guards at retail stores. Put a badge on 'em and they turn into little Hitlers. The airports are full of 'em these days.

You sir have mistake airport security for the Immigration & Naturalization Service, two entirely different jobs and functions.

The INS Inspectors are not security guards; they are Federal Law Enforcement Officers that attend one of the best Law Enforcement Academy in the United States.
