[Exerpt]Reno's camp may sue over touch screens used in Florida primary
MIAMI - (KRT) - Janet Reno's campaign for governor is trying to build a sweeping case against the now-infamous touch-screen voting machines that campaign officials believe may be responsible for Reno losing the Democratic nomination.
The case, summarized in a draft document obtained by The Herald, would not be used to challenge the results of last week's election, even if Bill McBride is certified Tuesday as the nominee, campaign officials said Saturday.
Instead, the evidence would become part of a larger effort to put the blame for Florida's latest election fiasco at the feet of Gov. Jeb Bush and the election reform law he signed with great fanfare last year.
"What we're doing is far more important than whoever the nominee is," said Reno campaign manager Mo Elleithee.

encountered an obviously die-hard Dim the other day who was positive that JEB Bush was responsible for every evil short of WTC's construction short-comings! Isn't that interesting. Seems the majority of Lefties have such an easy time using the term "evil" when describing Republicans. Came across more than a few who thought GW Bush was the embodiment of all evil. But they cringe and writhe like salted slugs if they hear Republicans make moral judgements... and God forbit we call men like Saddam Hussein or Bin Laden evil.

Instead, the evidence would become part of a larger effort to put the blame for Florida's latest election fiasco at the feet of Gov. Jeb Bush and the election reform law he signed with great fanfare last year. So lessee. Dem voters were confused by the Dem-designed butterfly ballots from 2000, and its the GOP's fault. Now the Dems are having problems counting the votes from their own primary, and its the GOP's fault. Oooh-kay.

They may try to pin this on Jeb, but I don't think they can make it stick. Rush was pointing out that these are the same 3 counties which Gore wanted recounted during 2000. These are the same people who couldn't vote with a butterfly ballot. These are the same election committee people who couldn't run their elections before. AND THEY'RE ALLLLLLLL DEMOCRATS.
Jeb needs to hand this one back to the dems in short order. He needs to define what happened, and how it cannot possibly be the fault of his administration. The only way these precincts will straighten up is when the election committee's have a change of personnel.

Oh, no you don't, Janet.
She's a walking disaster area. We're peeved here in Florida. If you'd like to leave a message for the press: Florida Republicans Comment Thread.
If the press cared about the truth and stopped acting as DNC PR agents, they'd be calling for Broward County SOE Miriam Oliphant's head, but they're choosing to be propagandists rather than real journalists. Heroes died for this country. The mainstream press is America's shame.

Well, just think about it. If she blames McLawyer, she won't get that cushy job in the administration in the windmills of his mind. FV

I think the dems could botch a "show of hands". And how would they count that over? LOL Maybe they should do a wave to vote. It wouldn't be any worse than it already is. I mean, put the dems on one side of a stadium and the pubbies on the other. If you do the wave on the dem side, you voted for dems, etc. We may have to go to STADIUM VOTING and THE WAVE. Why not?

Again the Lib's are blaming their own expensive and finacially ineffective system...let me guess, their next agenda will be to pour more tax dollars into it to make it perfect. Of course to define "perfect" could take years and LOTS of tax dollars.

iq tests are a good example of logic tests. Mensa could supply them, they are certified for that sort of thing, and trusted. anyone who gets less than 135 (averaged) on them should not be allowed to vote. (100 is world average, 150 is genius) 135 is a happy medium, that many with decent logic skills, can obtain.

Will she do the Lucy Ricardo cry? Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah . . .
To: MacDorcha
140's genius, 100's average. now, florida demo's ? hmmm.

140? sorry, its been a while since i took one, thnx for the correction. lets me know you guys are reading...
To: floriduh voter
we could just have them stand in a line then give them a lollypop on their way out. they can just say who they vote for, and if they dont say a name of an actual candidate, they get no vote. (it shows they dont know the issues if they dont have a name)
To: MacDorcha
LOL... actually, i was playing trivial pursuit at work last week and that came up. i missed it.
To: glock rocks
hehe.... what was your first guess?
To: SES1066
Seems we saw this one coming already.
To: MacDorcha
150 :o)
To: f.Christian
i knew the Bible mentioned a Woman and a Beast, but i had no idea it'd be the same creature, and have a name.... "janet" ::shudder::
To: glock rocks
