I do wonder why President George W. Bush didn't ever mention a specific link between Saddam and UBL. Maybe he was waiting for the right time to play the card?

I hope that the WH has already advised Congressional leaders of this link; if not-- we are in for a mojor HISSY-FIT where they will scream that vital info has been withheld as they all jump aboard the USS Bush.

At that point Bush points out the security leaks and fingers the perp. Or at least the Senate office where they work. (Keeping fingers crossed, which is hard to do while typeing)

Tony Blair needs a bat to go peace-nik bashing, too.

We have to build more cruise missiles and JMATs. It's a simple as that.

No use starting a war and running out of bullets half way through.

GWB mention at one point in his UN speech Thursday that "Al-Queda was in Iraq" but nothing about the connection between bin Laden and Hussein.I guess he wanted to leave something for Blair!

Steve McQueen once gave some sage advice to a novice actor who'd landed a leading role.
It was to the effect of "...let the other actors do most of the speaking if you can,
that way people will pay more attention to the few words you say".

I think Dubya has realized that he needs to say enough and not too much.
And now he's going to let the rest of the actors take it from here.

Let's see the US mainstream media try to skewer Tony Blair...it ain't gonna' happen.

Actually, Bush has already gone further than that. He has linked Saddam to Mohammed Atta, operational commander of the 9-11 mission. But, so far, he hasn't done that very loudly, knowing full well that the liberal news media will leave it alone as long as they can. This is by design.

From the latest Weekly Standard:

"The U.N. speech, says a national security official with knowledge of administration planning, 'wasn't our first shot, it wasn't our last shot, and it certainly wasn't our best shot' at making the case against Saddam Hussein. 'Put it this way--the U.N. speech was the first act of a three-act play. If [Democrats] are bailing on their opposition to the president now, wait until people see Act II, when there will be new revelations about just how serious a threat we face.'"
So, now we know that Act II will involve directly linking Saddam to the 9-11 attack. Any guesses what Act II might be? What else does Bush have up his sleeve? (One possible clue)

Because so far there hasnt been a need for it.

At home he has the support of the American people....so he hasnt needed to make the connection. At the UN he simply needed to point out their own decisions on Iraq and throw those decisions in their face.

Blair probably needs to make the case more than anyone else...nice of GW to let him pull the rabbit out of our hat.

Timing is everything. Give them time to make stupid statements, then knock them down.

It has appeared for a couple of weeks that the Brits with their great code crackers and intel people have had some very solid info on Saddam and his relationship with O"Sammy Been Laden and al Qaeda!

It is so damning that the Euro trash from France and Germany don't want this data released.

So in typical stealth fashion, GW does the up front stuff in speeches here and when he officially de balled the UNers last week. Now comes the second man of the team, Tony and his Data. This is Tony's job. I have the feeling that Tony can be very brutal with his opponents in the UK and in the Euro trash countries behind closed doors when he has the data.

Also, when Tony presents the data, the pro Islamakazi rats in the Senate from Jihad Da$$hole to Leaky Leahy can't cry dirty politics before the election. Da$$hole, Leaky Leahy and the other pro Islamakazi senators have put their fellow rats up election in November in quicksand. When Tony releases this data, those up for reelection have to rush to GW's side or face crushing defeats this November. Rushing to GW's side will not help them.

We are witnessing the mastery of two great chess players, President Bush and Prime Minister Blair!

We can sit back and watch it unfold and enjoy the results!
