Small point of clarification --

Chretien made the remark in July and it was aired by the CBC in a 9/11 commemorative documentary. The juxtaposition of a big meeting of the 2 leaders in Detroit on Sept 9th and the airing of that show by the CBC was too much! But then the CBC is very anti-US, anti-conservative anywhere.

If I understand correctly, they've claimed not to have said anything about 9-11 at all, and that if they did say anything, they were just joking.

I watched the interview, and it confirmed my belief that there is not a bigger a**hole on this planet.

I forced myself to watch. Jennings may not be the biggest a-hole on the planet (there is a lot of competition for that title), but his one of the more prominent ones.

JENNINGS: I personally wouldn't believe it for five seconds. And if a Canadian politician said that, I believe, given the closeness that Canada and the United States feel in the wake of 9/11, you know, thousands of Americans got stranded in Canada. I believe any Canadian politician who said that today would find his career practically doomed. I just don't -- I simply don't believe it.

A few weeks ago, Chretien announced he was retiring effective sometime in 2004. His career already IS doomed. There's no way Jennings couldn't have known that.

Fox News...they were on their way to start their residency (I know another version of their story) and the hospital has told them they will NOT be allowed because of all the HATE calls they got. They will help them find another. That's what I heard on Fox News this morning. My question: where will they find another that will take them unless it's in secret? I want to keep these three out of OUR hospitals if they are stupid enough to say what they said(and yes I believe they said it). Do you want them to take care of YOUR family medical needs?
