Yes. The FBI does profile serial killings. They usually look for white men. Of course you would not be offended by that.

No, it does not mean that all whites are suspected of being serial killers, but it does mean that if you are looking for a serial killer and you detain 80 year old oriental ladies while ignoring all the white males between 20 and 50 you are a fool. If you are looking for a serial killer in this country you look first at young adult white males and when you are looking for a terrorist you look first at young adult middle eastern males.
