She cited the US's use of immigration laws to detain foreigners within its borders indefinitely, the racial profiling of people of Arab descent in searches[I say more rahter than less! Sooner rather than later!], and the prosecution of US citizens as enemy combatants, limiting their rights to legal representation. Enemy combatants are not US citizens. LOL!

She also mentioned severe restrictions placed on the prisoners seized in Afghanistan and now being held at the US military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Why don't they simply change their name to UN-ACLU. It is hard to see any difference. "Human Rights" to me has always been about tyrannical oppression, from Soviet Jews to Cambodians to Christians in Indonesia. It is not about administrative civil liberties, such as "detaining foreigners".

There are horrendous human rights disasters in Indonesia, China, Africa, Iraq, and most of the 3rd world. But Mary Robinson does not bother to mention those. She doesn't even mention how women are treated in Saudi Arabia.

Like everything else in the UN, it is about global Marxist politics, and nothing more.

Can anyone think of a worse violation of human rights than terrorism? The death penalty? Is that worse? Gun rights? Is that what she's referring to? And not respecting the World Criminal Court, with it's wonderfully vague laws and denial of genuine fair trial guarantees. Who should be fair to US soldiers, after all?

Can you IMAGINE belonging to some international body that elevates Sudan and Red China above the US in the Commission of Human Rights? A place where parroting their drivel is more important than deeds. A place that allows Mugabe, Iraq, North Korea, and other monstrous regimes to stand up and lecture the world on how to be responsible leaders. How many janitors do they need to mop up the vomit?
