Man in terror scare says woman is lying

NAPLES, Florida (CNN) --The Georgia woman who prompted Friday's terror scare was "flat-out lying" when she told authorities she overheard three Muslim men at a restaurant laughing about September 11 and making suspicious comments, one of the men said late Friday.

"I have one message, I think it's time for us as Americans to put down our big sticks and pick up our books and read about other people and read about what they believe before we jump to conclusions."

What caused the bomb sniffing dogs to go on alert? Nobody has explained this as far as I know. Could they have made a delivery before they blew through the toll booth?

Yes the cops did say that...but now the cops are changing their story. Were the cops just trying to save their own asses or what? Weird...but whatever I am not surprised. These are the same people that can't figure out how to vote properly ;)

Ya know guys, I can't fault em for that. That's what I would do/say. When you're in a country based on individual freedom, then by definition every individual must get the benefit of the doubt.

So now they've changed their story. There was a couple of reoirts today that stated that the men claimed that they were just joking. Now the story is that they didn't joke at all, that they didn't say anything, that the lady made it all up.

The plates were not stolen. Again the police came back later and said they were all clear. The earlier reports were wrong.

Sorry they did not change their story. Did you ever hear them say this? Nope..the media said this and they were only repeating what the POLICE said. Now the police have changed their story...apparently the guys never did joke about it. Again...pathetic if this is true. The police need to get their act together before reporting stuff like this...pretty sad. If these guys never did say anything...they are ruined either way. And why? Maybe they don't and maybe the do. If they couldn't find any physical proof, after 16 hours of interrigation, what could they hold them on ? This nation is governed by laws ; unlike many other nations.

They kept them there for 16 hours, blew up there back pack. They aren't concerned about political correctness and cops don't back off of a case in this manner just to be politically correct.

From what I've heard, these men were NOT cooperative with the police. All they had to say was that they were joking, but they didn't. I do believe the woman's son also heard the remarks, I hope others at the restaurant can come forward and verify the woman's account.

One of the men said they told the police that no they did not want their car searched. Sorry but if that is not being cooperative then arrest us all. I would not agree to that either. Why would you? If you have nothing to hide? Let's not go there...

Lets see, Eunice Stone took the time to write down the license plate and description of two cars and three men. She also knew about the trip to Miami. Plus she called the police. In her news interviews she is calm and does not make derogatory remarks. But she is lying?

Now we have the three men, in two cars, which drive through a tollbooth without paying and when stopped by police, give the police a difficult time. The three men are held separately, but none assist the police with clearing up any questions. After release, the three men claim Eunice Stone is lying and racist.
