I never tired of hearing the stories of people who saved others (the actual heroes) but would quickly change channels when media people asked each other how they felt, what 9/11 meant to the Muslims, if the media was covering the stories properly, etc.

They are journalists and should record, as opposed to be involved. But I will say, as a journalist myself, sometimes I've come home from covering a bleak story and cried, and cried, and cried all night. We're not all heartless bastards.
