The other day on C-span, a liberal caller referred to "President Al Gore, he is the real president" (paraphrasing). So he should be held up to scrutiny since he's the "president's son."

How typical -- little Gore gets busted for DWI, which is significantly worse than anything the Bush daughters have ever done, yet this story gets virtually no coverage.

I just sent the info (dirent Wash. Times link) to Bill O'Reilly. We'll see if he brings it up on his show.

During the DNC Convention in summer 2000, gore's son was picked up for speeding. Tipper 'asked' the media to hold the story until after the Convention.....which of course they did.....the double standard is so blatant!
The media for the most part are card carrying Dems & are very loyal to their party!

"Beyond that, they are dealing with this privately as a family." I love the way the commission of a crime - a crime that could have had deadly consequences had he hit another car - becomes a "family matter" to these people. Contrast that with Jeb Bush. Not once did he send out a spokesman to say that the Bushes were dealing with Noelle's arrest privately as a family. Rather, Jeb has made statements about how she must take responsibility for her actions.

Sidwell Friends was probably strongly influenced by the Klintoons to take Gore, Jr. That's where Chelsea went to school.

Must be hard being a Goreleone and at once the kid of the most publicised mentally ill mother on Earth and of the criminally-inclined lying looser and repressed-poofter who was once the world's most dangerous dullard!
Guess it drove the poor schmuck to drink and drugs.

A story in the
NY Daily News said:
Cabrera said Gore, who attends Harvard, where he played football last year, was alone in his late-model Mustang and driving within the speed limit.
Looks like Albert III didn't make the Harvard roster this year. Must be concentrating on his studies.

This I can understand. Being the son of Sore Loserman would drive anyone to drink. BAWAWAHAHAHA!!! Way too funny Ivan. But you are on to something. The Gores basically have ignored this troubled young man. They send him off to boarding schools and then are concerned when he gets into trouble. Attention getting perhaphs?

Here's the original article. He was partying on Wed night late/early Thursday morning. Your comment on the other thread makes sense that he could have been at Ft Myer.
When I was in DC, Ft Myer O' Club rocked on Friday nights. I remember the SecNav partying down in the basement bar one evening...lots of sychophants kissing his ring and all that.

Oh no... I guess that means he can't run for President like daddy... Actually Algore Senior also ran for president but he never got his party's nomination (his fellow senator from Tennessee got the VP bid but they lost). Albert Gore Junior failed in his run against George W. Bush.
I've charted out the failed 'Rat campaigns of the last 100 years and there are a few names that keep cropping up (one year's failed VP become a later campaign's failed Presidential candidate).
I don't know if we can count him out yet (not that I want him or feel that he deserves any less treatment on this issue now than the media gave GW on the eve of the election).
