Looking at it from the perspective that it's not really a secret but only something that minitrue (ministry of truth) hath not deemed to be something that the amurricanpippleneedtoknow, it's actually kinda delicious. Sadamn doesn't want to admit he can't control activity within his borders, and he probably hasn't struck for fear of the massive counterstrike (hammerblow from the sky)awaiting him if he does. The demoratic/media complex doesn't say anything about it because they don't want to admit that they have no control over the debate, much less the war.
With a little luck we win before the New York Times is forced to admit we're engaged without their permission.

Neither Nazis nor Soviets nor any repressive regime. The last small fraction is the impossible part. The harder they try, the tougher it gets.
