No, Texans believe that the shortest distance between A and B is to throw a lariat around B and pull it right next to A. There's none of this "traveling a straight line from A to B". If you forcibly move point B next to point A, the distance is always zero.

And a cardinal rule for communicating is to use simple words. His speech did that - no problem for anyone of any language to miss the translation in that General Assembly room!
