He didn't state a DATE :o(

Why telegraph the date? Uncertainty in Baghdad is our ally - not Saddam's.

The Brits are going to introduce a resolution today or tomorrow that will contain all the airtight conditions, draconian sanctions and expeditied timeframes necessary to get a U.N. yea or nay on supporting our mission. Bush's objective today was to unequivocally demonstrate their moral and organizational obligation to removing Saddam. The time frame is now, and I anticipate that a Security Council and General Assembly resolution will be presented and voted upon within a week.

This process has momentum, and we'll see a Congressional measure sooner rather than later as well. The Dems don't value anything but holding the Senate, and they will not hold the Senate if they are diddling on Iraq. The American people want a U.N. involvement if possible. They wanted Bush to do what he did today. Now he has the proxy of all our friends and family who don't follow politics like we do, but who trust this President and understand what is at stake.
