Live discussion and comments about Bush's speech to the U.N. today, and the reaction to it.
Sadly, too many here are like you. You and yours don't have the backbone to go after the ones who killed my neighbors. That's why we sit here waiting for the next attack and debate whether or not to go after a third party.
You and Neville Chamberlain would have gotten along beautifully. You probably also believe that North Korea is an "evildoer" and that Saudi Arabia is a close ally. There'll never be a shortage of ignorant assholes.
I'm still waiting for any of you that feel that I don't understand the current situation to explain why we continue to treat Saudi Arabia as a "close ally" despite their being the number one supplier of funding for terrorists globally.
So far the lot of you can't even attempt it because you know there's no good reason not to squeeze Saudi Arabia to our needs or take them over.
He will be gone a year from today. Or much, much sooner. This is obvious to all, except to Iraqi ass-kissers, site pests, and camel-buggerers.
Wow, you really went out on a limb with that prediction.
Right. And anyone who accuses an honorable man of being willing to kill American soldiers for his own petty self-interest, as you have done, is a prime example.
You have no shame, and you make no sense. It is you who have no backbone, with your character assassination of the President as he risks his life to serve this country and you sit safely behind your little keyboard accusing him of being totally devoid of character.
Arne has debated both eloquently and articulately and you have made indefensible, inane attacks. The tripe you have been spewing forth stinks.
It is obvious that some of the men who carried out the suicide attacks were Saudi, and that people within Saudi Arabia have been involved at some level in terrorism, but that does not mean we should not liberate Iraq from the ultimate terrorist, Saddam Hussein, any more than it means that we should not have liberated Afghanistan from the Taliban.
Besides which, the President and his fine administration have made it abundantly clear that terrorism is widespread, and this war will be long and difficult. NO one is 'sitting here waiting for the next attack.'
btw.......Arne.....Neville Chamberlain?! HA!!!!!
Someone who doesn't realize that there have been many politicians who have never, nor would ever do dastardly things to achieve other goals ain't much of a history scholar.
Do you assume that President Bush is without honor because you are? (I'm not accusing you.....just wondering.) I'm curious about what makes you so sure that he is an evil man when it goes against everything that anyone who has ever known or even met the the man has said.
The point has been made here that Saudi Arabia's role in all this is complex, and that there are things going on behind the scenes of which even you are unaware. I do not know why President Bush, and every President in my lifetime has considered Saudi Arabia an ally. On the surface, I don't agree with that. But I also know that just because the terrorist threat in that country has not been dealt with completely yet, does not mean that it will not be dealt with ever, as you seem to assume.
Going after the more imminent threat in Iraq does not preclude the eventual victory over terrorism in the entire region.
Tell me who killed your neighbors. The perps are dead, as I recall.
If you have an audit trail and the evidence booty, bring it on. I'll salute you.
You don't, you never will, and that's your excuse to do nothing. The Saudi Royals have an alibi.
Thanks, I'd like that. Could you print out the victim list too? How about the list of people in Houston, TX with unclaimed property or tax returns?
Oh, and if you have time, could you paste the text from "War and Peace" into the thread ... you can't have too much info!
It preceeds and facilitates the eventual victory over terrorism in the entire region.
sakic wants us to find and kill the hijackers one more time.
It's a mind puzzle! LOL
So I want to assault, conquer and hopefully kill the 2002 version of Hitler.
No, that was Wilt Chamberlin!
Yahtzee!
I am chuckling about Great Satan's anthrax blackmail conspiracy. I give him a 10 for originality, and a 9 because it's easy to dance to. I like his idea ... Saddam is the marionette here. Fun. sakic's stuff is same old same old with typical charmlessness.
Busted! You nailed me to the wall with that one. Yes, I do. Not because that insane father-son team starves their people and instead builds medium range missiles they sell to anyone who can kill Israelis. Sure, they've killed all their teachers, bankers and lawyers. Sure, young girls are kidnapped and fed to their military rapists. Kim Jung II. He's just misunderstood sakic. Like Saddam.
I'll bet you are a pen pal with guys on death row.
(I confess to keeping up even after Jr. High!)
Say....isn't this a bit off-topic?
That's like 30 million women watching Dr. Kildaire. Pffffttt. I was handsome, why weren't you women looking at ME? Well, at least my audience rating then beat Donahue's current numbers! ;^)
btw, I confess to being ignorant of your broadcasting career. Do you mind telling me about it? I guarantee that when I was a young lass, if you were cute, I would have watched you! :o)
(Who would watch that old Donahue goat anyway? He whines as much as some of these miserable old fellows here at FR!)
