New York Sen. Hillary Clinton said Wednesday that President Bush summoned her husband, ex-president Bill Clinton, back to the United States in the hours after 9/11, contradicting the version of events offered by Mr. Clinton last year. "My husband was in Australia and the president called him back and sent a plane for him," Mrs. Clinton told National Public Radio's Tavis Smiley in an interview commemorating the 9/11 attacks. Clinton made the claim that Bush summoned her husband while describing concerns about the welfare of her family in the aftermath of the World Trade Center catastrophe. "In my own family, you may recall that my daughter was in lower Manhattan on the morning of Sept. 11," she told Smiley. "It took hours to make contact with her and thankfully we were able to make sure she was OK." Then Mrs. Clinton made the comment suggesting that the Bush White House had summoned her husband back to the U.S. from his Australian speaking tour. But in an interview last year, Mr. Clinton indicated that the Bush White House sent a military plane for him as a courtesy, not because he was being "called back." "The Bush administration was kind enough to give me a plane," he told NBC's Tom Brokaw a week after the attacks. "I thought I should be back in America and back in New York. And they provided me a plane. ... And I was glad to be back home with our people here and to do what I could to encourage people in the recovery efforts." Mrs. Clinton told Smiley that on 9/11 last year, she felt she "had an obligation as a senator from New York to reach the White House," but she did not say whether the contact had anything to do with the Bush administration's decision to retrieve her husband.
Absolutely. Now you're smart, answer me this: if Dubya had "summoned" Bubba back, dontcha think Bubba would have mentioned it at the time? "Heck, I'm so wonderful, this adminstration doesn't know which way to turn without me. Hell they summoned me to be here."
What's under debate are the words uttered by Hillary: "My husband was in Australia and the president called him back and sent a plane for him," It doesn't say: summoned it says: called him back. My guess is Clinton had a call into Bush, which Bush returned, hence, called him back eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww am I really defending the great b!tch over NewsMax? Guess so.
Is that why she waited until 4 PM to show up on the Capitol on 9/11? I kind of doubt if she was at the (empty) White House in the intervening period?
They can't even get their lies straight.
Confused with someone who gives a sh!t about either she or her dumbass husband!
That's a couple of miles north of, upwind from, and well-away from the debris fallout zone of, Ground Zero.

Just when I think I can't despise these creatures any more than I already do, here they go again.
Even Chelsea contradicted Hildebeast and claimed that she was about 2 miles away when the planes hit -- although her story about heading down toward there in a daze to look for a working payphone was nothing but pure bullclinton.
It all started when Chuck Schumer acted with grace when his teen daughter really was a few blocks from the WTC, at her high school, and he didn't hear from or about her for a few hours.
The hag must have become very jealous that he was getting sympathetic coverage and she felt compelled to lie about her daughter's whereabouts that morning -- while thousands of people could only *wish* that their loved ones were as far from the WTC as Chelsea really was. And the even thousands more of us who were there and survived wish that we had been that far out of danger that morning.
There's something VERY wrong with that family. It's more than a mere serious dysfunction. More like a major, collective form of mental illness.
That's understandable, but Old Crusty was trying to portray it as if Bush somehow needed the Sinkmaster back here for some reason.
Who knows? Maybe Bush saw a sink that he thought needed some lovin'? ;->
Also, Chelsea's fiction about how she couldn't reach her beast-mother from a landline phone like an hour before any towers collapsed is total bullclinton.
I'm merely the daughter of a retired physician and didn't have any Secret Service protection, but I was able to reach my father -- by cell phone -- from about 4 blocks from the WTC, after each tower was hit.
Since it was obvious that people could place Chelsea as being 2 miles from the WTC when it was attacked, she had to invent a reason for being near it when the collapses happened. And claiming that the phone in her friend's apartment cut out, so she walked (or was it jogged?) 2 miles downtown to find a payphone is a total lie. I live about 5 blocks from the WTC site, and was later able to call my answering machine well into the late afternoon -- until WTC #7 fell and took out much of the Verizon building with it.
These people lie just for the hell of it. Maybe to see how much they can get away with duping people. I remember in the fiction piece that Chelsea wrote for Talk magazine, she said that her hag-mother came to NY a day or two later, and then Booba later claims that she was back here that evening.
I also recall that you had posted just after 9/11 to the relief of many freepers. I don't remember replying to your posts at the time, but I'm glad that you made it through all that. I'm sure that the events will live with you forever and that is quite sad in a way. I know that I'll never forget 9/11 and that feeling comes merely from seeing it on TV.
I paid lots of attention to the various "Chelsea on 9/11" stories that came out in the last year, and as someone who really was down there at the time (unlike Chelsea), I was able to debunk her bullclinton.
It's disgraceful and despicable that instead of the Clinti Scourge counting their blessings that she was miles from the danger, they had to squat down and take a dump on the graves of those who weren't as lucky.
It takes a particularly warped person (or family, in this case) to so ardently wish to have been victimized (and yes, the survivors of the attacks have been victimized) in such a hideous manner. I'd give just about anything to have not been there that morning -- not just for what I saw and experienced, but for the hours of anguish it caused my father.
