[W]hy not assail the hypocritical neo-cons who also will step out of fight- yet, who pound the drums?

Are you suggesting war policy be set only by American males age 18 to 26 who can pass a military physical and aptitude test? It's a ludicrous argument because even those not directly in harm's way are affected deeply by its consequences.

Not only that, but the argument is a logical fallacy.

You say that one has no place arguing for war if they won't be fighting it. This argument is no different than 'you should have no say in abortion because you don't have a uterus.'

Some things are decided on principle: and these principles are universally accessible.

I am merely saying that I find it fascinating that neo-conservatives who had a chance to fight in Vietnam opted out; and now they would send others to fight wars when they themselves would not answer the call. I am saying it is ludicrous to scorn an anti-war individual who did not serve in the military when there are dozens of prominent pro-war who did not serve in the military. I am saying that it is amazing how few neo-conservatives who have never found a war they did not advocate, be it the First Gulf War, Bosnia or our vicious assault on Christian Serbia for the good of Islam, actually served.
