They were doing this ON THE PLANE? If so, they should at least be arrested for indecent exposure.

If I was on a flight today, and a bunch of middle easterners started behaving squirrely, I would probably be tempted to make use of my 14 years of martial arts training, on the spot. Things would be pretty unpleasant for them.

Let me recommend that you guys looking for capture cards go to http://www.dscaler.org and make sure your card is compatible with this... you may find out very quickly that the default software that comes packaged with all of these video-input devices is rotten and wish you had something better. Not only rotten, but rarely-updated. DScaler is an open-source project run by people who are really fanatical about these things!

I might have been born at night, but it wasn't last night. The feds must think we just can't "handle" the truth on the anniversary of 9/11. Either we need to grow up and prove we can handle anything, or the feds need to stop under-estimating us.

According to Briefing.com, the object turned out to be a comb. Imaginge that a comb! Had it been one letter off it could have been a bomb (and very series) , but it was just a comb.

Well, come on now, think about that a little bit, they were just trying to blend into the crowd.

A perfect analogy that everybody knows is true, is that it is much easier blending into the crowd if one changes into one's ninja outfit after boarding and the aircraft has taken off (hidden in plain sight principle), than it would be trying to get through checkout, security gates, the terminal and past the boarding gate dressed in one's ninja outfit. All savvy sabateurs get into their ninja get-up after the plane has taken off (raises much less suspicion).

All of which would be devastating but Al Qeada seems to target sites with particular symbolism for Americans... and fortunately for Texans, those don't seem too symbolic.

Even stranger was that they were trying to hijack the plane from the toilet. Not real rocket scientists, are they?

This is just like that plane that crashed in New York in October of '01. The authorities were jumping up and down screaming, "It wasn't terrorism!!! It wasn't terrorism!" on that one, too. (They were doing that while the crash was still smoking.)
