Did anyone happen to see the segment of 'America Remembers' featuring James Zogby and John McCain between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m.? If so, I can imagine you are as FURIOUS as I am right at the moment! Brokaw was speaking with a gentleman who had lost in wife in the World Trade Center holocaust last September 11th. He was angry with the "silence = consent" attitude of the Muslim community toward the murder of over 3,000 Amercans at this time last year. He cited a poll indicating that "90% of Muslims blame America" for creating the international climate of tension that led to this act of terror. He further expressed his outrage over reports that Palestinians/Muslims/Arabs had been dancing in the streets and handing out candy in celebration of what Osama and his depraved minions had carried out in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania. In addition, he mentioned that he had friends who had witnessed this in Patterson, New Jersey; among other locations. Having seen the pictures myself, I flew into a rage when I heard James Zogby (representing the Arab-American Institute) debunk these stories as "urban legends". He told the studio audience that these reports were NOT TRUE! Mr. Zogby, you are a lying b*stard, and you know it. To imply that this recent widower is laboring under the delusion of an "urban legend" when those of us who have seen actual photos of these celebrations is an unspeakable outrage. Did anyone else see this? Unbelievable!
There were most certainly Muslim celebrations, even within the U.S. (there was at least one college campus incident that was hushed-up quickly).
Hey, Zogby... THIS is an example of Urban Legend, mm-kay?:

Perhaps some Palestinians did mourn, and perhaps some of the mourning even went beyond a rational but self-interested consideration that 9/11 would hurt the Palestinians. But there was no conspicuous reaction in Palestine to the initial celebrations, no revulsion.
I have no doubt a minority of Germans in 1941 were active Nazis, and most Germans wished the war over. But the fact is, that when you're at war with Germany, the fact that all Germans don't hate you is irrelevant.
Did you see the ones where the families were DEMANDING money? I tell you what, if the whole country could see that, I believe they'd change their minds about those people!
I'm glad you raised this point, because you and 'nicks bad seed' are responsible for jogging an old man's memory. I am really embarrassed. My wife and I attended the Patriot's Day Rally in Washington this past April. The DC Chapter had set up a huge collage of posters along the sidewalk facing Constitution Avenue. These posters depicted photos of the WTC/Pentagon holocaust; the jets slamming into the buildings, my fellow Americans falling to a grisly death from 1000 feet in the air, and so forth. Over the course of the day, hundreds of Palestinian/Arab demonstrators (along with many others) stopped to have their photos taken next to these posters. Expressions of regret and sadness on their faces? Yeah, right. Arms around each other, big smiles on their faces, celebratory fists pumping in the air, chants of "Death to America!" and "Death to Israel!" filling the air. Some of the other comments I won't repeat. Now if they were STILL in a celebratory mood eight months after the event itself, I think it is safe to assume that these folks were positively GIDDY on September 11, 2001.
Thanks for the reminder. Do Palestinians/Arabs, and others celebrate what happened on September 11, 2001? You bet they do. I am an EYEWITNESS, my wife is an eyewitness, and members of the DC Chapter are eyewitnesses.
Despicable. I would have been unable to restrain myself.
Really? I thought what was at issue here was Arab celebrations.
How usettling that I was stupid enough not to realize that "all Arabs" would automatically mean "Palestinians".
Of course, when a black professor referrs to "European" he means to indicate that ALL persons of European descent share an identical vision, an identical history, an identicle religious outlook.
And of course, he means to spit upon the graves of ALL our European ancestors......
Yeah I watched pretty much the whole thing. It was ugly. Except for the two brothers(servicemen) one in the studio and the other in Afghanistan, that was pretty cool.
Did you see the ones where the families were DEMANDING money?
They were reaming that guy Feinberg(?) for no reason about the victims fund and I kept yelling at the TV that their beloved Sen.Hitlery was one of those responsible for the way the bill was constructed. Then one lady tried to blame Ashcroft and then Feinberg(?) jumped in her $h!t.

Bulls-eye say Egyptians as they celebrate anti-US attacks
By Lamia Radi CAIRO
STORY WAS CENSORED FROM THIS WEEK'S EDITION
Egyptian students, taxi drivers and shopkeepers crowded round television sets stacked up in electrical store windows in downtown Cairo September 11, celebrating a string of elaborate attacks on New York and Washington.
"Bullseye," commented two taxi drivers as they watched footage of the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York shrouded in plumes of smoke after two presumably hijacked planes slammed into them earlier in the day.

On a side note; G-d bless the internet! Ten years ago, our socialist media would have been able to bury photos like this, and no one would have had the documentation necessary to help refute Mr. Zogby's statement. No one would have been the wiser.
Anyone here got a Burelle's account, or LexisNexis, that could get us the actual transcript?
