U.S. Army Maj. Fickel wipes tears during a moment of silence as a soldier in the CJTF-180 (Coalition Joint Task Force) lowers a half-staff U.S. flag during the one year anniversary of the Sept-11 terrorist attacks, Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, at the Bagram air base in Afghanistan. The lowering of the flag and a moment of silence coincided with the time that the first airliner struck the World Trade Center in New York city. (AP Photo/Wally Santana) (AP Photo/Radcliffe Roye)
