I believe it was Vice President Cheney who said recently:
If he is alive we will get him, If he is dead we got him!

Yesterday someone pointed out Bert's picture on the cave wall ;-)

So who won the pool?

Wasn't Tora Bora during December of 2001? I still think I am close to being the winner!

Has it occurred to anyone else that perhaps we killed him and kept it secret? It would be a smart move. It would avoid any retribution that loyal followers, overcome by emotion, would commit. It would allow us to keep the pressure on and avoid calls that the "mission was complete." I think he's dead and I think we know he's dead. I think swooped in, killed or captured him and his group, then left no clues behind. This is the best possible solution to the Bin Laden problem.

Usamaa could still be alive and planning his next attack with his closest, craftiest, terrorist tactician.... Say, is that a picture of Bert on the wall of Usama's cave (see cartoon in post #48)? Bert, Mullah Omar, could be either. Or is Mullah Omar really Bert? Hmmm...

Its time we take the Rats' position; we keep fighting until we have the body as proof. No body, no stop to the fighting. We cant make a change in our position without evidence.

"We will now dedicate the efforts of Al Qaeda to spreading peace and love throughout the world. That is all.""We did not just fall off a turnip truck. The hostilities will continue. That is all."

It's "He's dead, we got him, but the job is not over yet." When President Kennedy died, the United States did not fold up. When Hoffa disappeared, the Union didn't close shop. Al-Qada is still operating and we can never stop until we have snuffed (and I mean SNUFFED not captured) out every last remnent of the organization and the governments/people that have harbored and supported it. NEVER FORGET.Great post Cougar. I was referring to the quote that President Bush made a few months back on the status of UBL.

Ever consider that the site might have been hacked? Maybe even by us? Interesting....maybe we are TRYING to bring out the sleeper cells, sort of like deliberately trying to get the pus in a sore to come to a head?

It's an epistomological question.

Of course, that strategy will depend on forgetting that S(l)ick Willie said that once Osama Yo Mama is worm food, Saddam is worthy of joining him (Osama, not S(l)ick)....
Silly me; I forgot that a forgetful media is the RATs most potent weapon.

It might be a signal.

Acvording to the FOXNews ticker there have been 3 attacks on US interests so far today. The only article I've located so far is at CBS and only mentions 2. You have to scroll about half way through the article, but here is alink and an excerpt.
Reflection And Gunfire In Afghanistan
The U.S. military reported two incidents of aggression Wednesday against installations in Afghanistan occupied by American troops. A lone gunman opened fire at a guard tower on the perimeter of the U.S. military headquarters for Afghanistan in Bagram, prompting return fire from American soldiers, a U.S. military spokesman said. In Khost, unidentified attackers fired two rockets at the airport in the troubled eastern Afghan city, officials said. No U.S. or allied casualties were reported

If they're saying he's dead, maybe that's because they want us to quit searching for him. Must be getting close..?

I hope its not a signal to sleepers though. That was my first thought. And, of course, CBS helps them...

I'll believe he's dead when I see the living proof.

"Well, if UBL is dead, I hope it was from unnatural causes."
I only hope that he was pinned down in the rubble of the cave at Tora Bora, and took several days to finally die! I hope that he was in a tremendous amount of pain, and that his heart was filled with terror when the bomb struck the cave. I hope that his death brought him an understanding of the pain that he had inflicted on others in his lifetime!
A quick end is more than Osama bin Laden deserved!
