... The VFW was the Veterans group represented last night. Included in this group were 8 members of the San Joaquin Valley Association of Pearl Harbor Survivors. I had a wonderful chat with one of those men. More later.. I was a real social butterfly last night with all those Vets. I shook hands with most all of them and thanked them for their service.

Thanks, Dave - always love the way you bring us these little tidbits. You are such an inspiration the way you love your country and the veterans and those whose lives are in danger now as they fight to protect all of us. A little thanks to those who are in harm's way from me....

                Coast Guard, National Guard...

I just want to thank you for being there....for me, my family, your family, for our country....for fighting to keep it strong and free.
I pray that God will bless you and keep you safe. You are all our HEROS, and when you return, there will be parties and balloons and fireworks and parades, and dancing in the street.
