"I took the picture from Governor's Island when my husband's band was playing a gig at the Coast Guard Station there. It was an awesome feeling being there and having those giant buildings appearing to loom over the top of me. I could hardly take the enormity of them into my mind. It was during the time the Statue of Liberty was surrounded by scaffolding being repaired and painted."
