Thank you for the very beautiful descriptive pictures you have painted!

All the vignettes posted here today are moving and meaningful, and comforting, seeing how we here are one at heart.

Thank you, Billie, for this corner of the house that Jim built ~ ~ ~

Dave and Carbine, thank you so much for sharing your stories and feelings with us. I love reading these posts.

I believe that Amy and Jim went to the 9-11 Memorial Service in Clovis today. I hope that one or both of them will come and share their stories with us this evening.

Our County Fair opened today, with a patriotic theme. There was a huge turnout for our annual Fair Parade through our little town, much larger than previous years. I wasn't able to go, but it was televised. I saw thousands of people lining the streets waving flags and cheering "God bless America". All the floats were red, white and blue. It was beautiful!

Syncro, I am looking forward to your photographs from Alameda. Don't forget to post them. :-)

And, where are you? Did I miss you again? :-(

Oh, Carbine, I'm so glad you posted that here. It's been very interesting to hear so many of you recount, by the hour, that day one year ago. Thank you for your story. It's a nice memory book we're archiving this week. Hugs, dear FRiend.

ru, that is precious! It seems to be just you and me, ma'am, for this dirty job of keeping this place clean. Nobody else wants to tangle with the dastardly devils, Louiewolf, and Lodwick, and JustFrank, and Chadsworth. :)

Thank you Billie for signing with a quill feather pen and ink, perfect for a poet whose name is bentfeather.

I hoped you would notice. :)

I love this thread, Billie. I am so grateful to you! You are showing me daily how to be a better coquette, simply by your sweet, steadfast example. Thank you and God bless you and all this FReeper Family.

There is a tragic but wonderful story behind the verses written by Horatio Spafford, and Joe shared that story last night before presenting the message in song.

I will repeat it here because I feel it has a message for us as Americans as we go through the day reflecting on the tragedy of 9-11.

Thank you so much for posting this very moving story. Tragic but wonderful, it was.

Thank you for providing that link to "It Is Well, With My Soul." Having the music playing while reading the text was once again very moving. May God richly bless you.

Hey...don't ever worry about the typos here. We all want to get the information out, and as soon as we can. I do rediculous errors...even when I proofread a lot, like last night on the New Zealand thread....to launch it before midnight, in case my NY desk rocked.

Often, I even experience a terrorist salt-water attack on my eyes, these days. Oh well. We press on, always. People know what we mean. Would be nice to have spell-check, though.
