The name was changed to Miami-Dade county. Dopey idea. Supposedly done to help tourism but it makes the folks in Miami-Dade look like a bunch of jerks. I don't think there are any other hyphenated counties in America.

I personally don't trust that touch screen system for a minute. There's no hard evidence of your vote. No way to challenge the results. And who wrote the code? What's the security? A firewall? encryption?

Heard the election supervisor interviewed on WFLA radio--said, "Well, we had plenty of ballots here at the office. I just underestimated the turnout, and didn't order enough."
