This stuff purporting to show the supposed "superiority" of Islam in the medieval period is very nice and sweet and quite PC, but is it really true? There are NO christians or jews in Arabia because of genocide by the muslims..

As I understand it, the caliphs (the successors of Mohammed), waged a bloody conquest in the mid-east/northern African area for appx 100 years after the death of Allah's one and only prophet. This effectively removed all Christian/Jewish (infidel) influence and it was not until they crossed the Pyrenees and were defeated at Tours that the onslaught was arrested.

I guess after you have successfully slaughtered all of the opposition, you assume this position by default. You are the only one left standing.

I wonder if he's read Osama's second speech. It would be shocking not, but it perfectly explains the
'80 year' allusion. He blames the Brits, French and Italians for dividing up the Arab Ummah.
