One thing I like about Bush, he can shed tears and do something about what makes him angry. If he only shed tears we all would be in trouble.

As many times as I've seen that clip of the Big Phony crying, I can never stop being shocked at his total dishonesty.

GW is well under control. His take down of the Taliban was masterful. His preparations to take down Iraq are smooth as silk. They don't even feel the blade going in. And I would put his memorial speech at the Cathedral right up there with Churchill.

The speech before Congress a few days later wasn't bad either.

"Sorry but I want anger like the type shown by FDR"

Maybe you missed the part in the posting where they talked about Bush being angry.

2. To prevent lynch-mob mentality in the general population, which would hurt innocent people and which would inflame moderate Muslims. It also would divert police to calming riot situations.

You are right. It is sad but true that the morons attacked and killed several Sikhs after 9/11. Sikhs, for those who don't know, are not Arabs, and are not Muslims.

''He was very engaged and thrilled to talk about it,'' Pelley said. ''It was almost as if it seemed he needed to get it off his chest. He wanted to tell somebody about that week and what has been going through his mind.''

AND was smart enough to wait a year to talk about it publicly.

Thanks for pinging me! It's a treat to have others on the lookout for such good news, and pass the word. I'm looking forward to seeing this program.

Not to quibble, but isn't FDR the guy who didn't get us out of the depression, didn't prepare us for WW2, sent a ship load of Jews back to Hitler, and then consigned half of Europe over to Stalin?

But Pelley devotes a full 40 minutes of the show to examining the hours immediately after the attacks, when Bush remained much of the time aboard Air Force One instead of returning to the White House -- a controversial move that Pelley came away believing was justified.

O Good Mother McCree, why doesn't that dipwad at USA Today give it a rest?

The sniveling little pisant oughta tarred and feathered and given a one-way ticket to Baghdad.

(And I'm not even especially fond of Dubya.
I just get tired of this bulldung that substitutes for journalism.)

For eight long years, we were told that character didn't matter. Then, as now, I truly believe that character is the one quality that matters most.

OK, let's put it this way:

"To calm WEENIE Muslims who aren't sure what to do."

There, does that make you feel better? I don't really care about the feelings of Muslims right now. What I do care about is that we not have a full-fledged religious war on our hands in this country, even though I know that a huge majority of the foreign Muslims don't like us.

Are you willing to deal with riots from the Black Muslims and their sympathizers, while we attempt to fight overseas? Are you wanting HUGE demonstrations in every major city, riots, and sabotage?

Much better that those who are timid or unsure sit on the sidelines. This is basic strategy, which I would think you would understand. Of course, if you want to see some of our cities in flames for a feel-good sound bite, keep complaining.

He has anger, he has tears, he has compassion, he has convictions, he has honest responses. He sounds like a real person to me and that's more than enough after what we endured in the 90's. I voted for him with half-hearted support. I believe in him totally now, even when I disagree with him. There are no games and he will find a way to win this fight against terror, or head the world in that direction. There may be no winning.

Well said, BonnieJ. Bush is one of the most sincere, most common-sense and most moral people we've ever had in the White House. Anyone else and we'd be winning less than we already are.

I hope clinton watches this. He will learn what IS truly is. President Bush IS what clinton can never be. And clinton knows it.

Bush is the anti-Clinton.

If you didn't shed some tears over 9/11, then you ain't human. The day of attacks I was so angry I went outside and screamed at the top of my lungs "Wake up America, wake up America, wake up America, wake up America!".

I don't cry easily. But on 9/12, when I drove down the road on our mountain in New Jersey and looked out at where those buildings (and those thousdands of men, women and children) used to be, I lost it.

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!!!
~~~ President George W. Bush
Those are the words of a man who is resolute. He hurts, like the rest of us, and he shows that emotion at times ..... but he doesn't wallow in it ..... he finds ways to take action. Just ask the Taliban.
