Fearful of new terror attacks but armed with little specific information, the United States has adopted "a higher sense of guard" in the run-up to the Sept. 11 anniversary, the White House said Tuesday.
While officials say they have no details outlining an impending attack, they're taking no chances.
The FBI told police, utilities, banks and the transportation industry to be wary. U.S. military bases and diplomatic missions worldwide also are on high security alert for the week.
White House press secretary Ari Fleischer said Tuesday that the threat of new attacks has U.S. officials on a "higher sense of guard."... CLICK

And U.S. Navy officials in Bahrain issued a warning to shippers Tuesday following unconfirmed reports that al-Qaida may be planning attacks on oil tankers.
"While the U.S. Navy has no specific details on the timing or means of the planned attacks, and there are no indications than an attack is imminent, the threat should be regarded seriously," said an advisory from the Navy's Maritime Liaison Office in Bahrain.
It said shipmasters should exercise extreme caution when traveling through strategic choke points such as the Strait of Hormuz or Bab-el-Mandeb, or sailing in traditional high-threat areas such as along the Horn of Africa and other confined waters.
Lovely.

Maybe they should have notified companies that manufacture
explosives to be more vigilant. Over 300 lbs. of ammonium nitrate that was kept in small tubes about 14 inches long similar to window caulking tubes found at a hardware store and weigh about 30 pounds each were stolen from company here in TX.
Say, TC... do you know how we go about contacting the Admin. Mod. to get the story at the link listed as breaking news so it shows up in the sidebar? Any help would be appreciated!

Another major attack or two, and they're likely to make us mad. Wonder what CAIR will have to say.

Like I said, we need a new color scheme.
Current scheme:
Blue
Green
Yellow
Orange
Red
Log Cabin Republican Scheme (proposed):
Sapphire
Spruce
Harvest Gold
Sunset
Sangria
Those colors are more likely to be used by the presstitutes.

Because its nothing more than an appeasment to show the Homeland security is doing something... I think after they made their little code system, they have been playing Solitaire ever since or something.

Because its nothing more than an appeasment to show the Homeland security is doing something... So you have inside information that there really is no threat?

- High Condition (Orange). A High Condition is declared when there is a high risk of terrorist attacks. In addition to the Protective Measures taken in the previous Threat Conditions, Federal departments and agencies should consider the following general measures in addition to the agency-specific Protective Measures that they will develop and implement:
- Coordinating necessary security efforts with Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies or any National Guard or other appropriate armed forces organizations;
- Taking additional precautions at public events and possibly considering alternative venues or even cancellation;
- Preparing to execute contingency procedures, such as moving to an alternate site or dispersing their workforce; and
- Restricting threatened facility access to essential personnel only.
