I just heard on the radio tht Iraq has openly challenged Bush to present his evidence at the UN for a WMD program in Iraq. Kennedy did so against the Soviet Union over the Cuban missle crisis. Depending on whether or not we would be giving up intelligence methods and assetts I would say some aluminum pipes ain't gonna cut either and it is time for the US to put up or shut up. Bush just met with Chretian today and he said that he was not convinced of the necessity to attack Iraq from what Bush told him or showed him today.

Exactly. And we know who's really compromised, in this interview; Zahn. Sorry, Paula: perhaps CNN won't get its Bombing Baghdad ratings winner quite as easy as you thought.

Which is why the Founding Fathers wrote the authority/responsiblity separations the way they did, that the one man with the power and ability to put our military into harm's way must consult the deliberative body, so that they could flesh it all out and help decide whether or not the gains made would be worth the losses incurred. Iraq may very well be massing weapons, they may be in the process of acquiring nukes, but they do not have missiles pointed at us at this very moment -- there is simply no excuse for folks wanting to bypass consulting Congress and simply launch on Iraq as has been screeched from the high hills all over this board.
