Whatever happens, happens. Maybe the lucky ones will grow up tp be camel dealers. These people want to follow an eigth century philosophy, let them live in an eigth century environment. Just don't let them have have any weapons more advanced than eigth century weaponry. Just as you can't let a child play with matches or your house will burn down, you can't let immature, undeveloped cultures (especially those which are prone to throw temper-tantrums)play with weaponry more advanced than a spear, or equipment more advanced than an ox-cart. For example: if you let them play around airports, they will hijack the jets and fly them into buildings and if you let them play with nukes, they will blow up the world. It may stink the worlds that way, but that is the way the world is. Deal with it.
