I have no doubt that we are watching the hostile take-over of our free America by power mad liberal democrat elitists who depend on the vote of foolish people who know nothing of their motives and have been brainwashed by the public school system and the fourth wing of government, the liberal press.

Norman Thomas has a High School named after him here in NYC, on the East Side, I think in the 30s, if anyone wants to check out a living monument to a socialist.

In case you are wondering, it is a PUBLIC high school.

You wrote: "I hate to break it to you, but there are 500+ socialists in Congress."

You got THAT right! As elitist Socialist/Liberals (now calling themselves "Progressives" rather than "Liberals"), The "Progressive" Caucus membership is only made up of those who are willing to admit that they hate America's form of government and are busily undermining our Constitution.

Hillary agrees with them that our Constitution stands in the way of them realizing their goals, but you won't find her or any of the others who plan to run for *the presidency* on that list.

Democratic Socialists of America's Progressive Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives

Taken verbatim from the Internet web site of the Democratic Socialists of America:

http://www.dsausa.org/dsa.html
http://www.dsausa.org/pc/pc.caucus.html

"The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the United States, and the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International (also in Francais and Espanol). DSA's members are building progressive movements for social change while establishing an openly socialist presence in American communities and politics...

"We invite you to support the campaign by adding your name to the list of signers of the Pledge for Economic Justice. In conjunction with the Campaign DSA is working with the Congressional Progressive Caucus, a network of more than 50 progressive members of the US House of Representatives...

"The Progressive Caucus of the US House of Representatives is made up of 58 members of the House. The Caucus works to advance economic and social justice through sponsoring legislation that reflects its purpose. The Caucus also works with a coalition of organizations, called the Progressive Challenge, to bring new life to the progressive voice in US politics." [snip]

Progressive Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives:

The Progressive Caucus of the US House of Representatives is made up of 58 members of the House. The Caucus works to advance economic and social justice through sponsoring legislation that reflects its purpose. The Caucus also works with a coalition of organizations, called the Progressive Challenge, to bring new life to the progressive voice in US politics.

Statement of Purpose

The Progressive Caucus is organized around the principles of social and economic justice, a non-discriminatory society and national priorities which represent the interests of all people, not just the wealthy and the powerful.

Our purpose is to present thoughtful, practical solutions to the economic and social problems facing America. Our people-based agenda extends from job creation to job training, to economic conversion, to single payer healthcare reform, to adequate funding for the AIDS crisis, to environmental reform, and to women's rights.

Now that the cold war is over, this nation's budget and overall priorities must reflect that reality. We support further cuts in outdated and unnecessary military spending, a more progressive tax system in which wealth taxpayers and corporations contribute their fair share, and a substantial increase in social programs designed to meet the needs of low-and-middle-income American families. We believe that these goals fit within an overall commitment to deficit reduction.

Diana DeGette of Denver is a card-carrying sociallist. Is she not part of this caucus?

Olver is my Rep. and never answers my polite emails.

I'm sure he would like for me to be silent and just hand over my wallet.

Rosa DeLauro in CT makes my blood pressure go through the roof! Besides being a unabashed socialist, she's uglier than Margaret Hamilton... even though Margarets been dead for 20 years!

Is there a list of these commies on the dsa website?

3 years ago there was a link to the Progressive Caucus, on the home page of the DSA. Many of the commies were confronted, by their constituents, about being members of the DSA, the link was removed. When confronted they all did what Democrats do best, LIE.

I know that my local communists, Julia Carson, is safe as can be. Every election there are a few precincts that always report last and they always have just enough votes to put her over the top in close elections. We can't even get people to work the polls in some of her precincts because it is not safe to be in those neighborhoods if you are white and/or Republican. The Sheriff used to send in workers, but they stopped that a few years ago. So now there are a good number of voting locations in Julia's district that are manned by her people only. Of course I would never want to insinuate that there is anything amiss going on at those polling places;), only that the aren't being watched. I tried to get a letter in the local newspaper two cycles ago pointing out her affliation, but they wouldn't print it.

There used to be a list and an explanation of the Progressive caucus being a subsidiary of the the DSA. First the explanation went and then the list. It seems that too many members of the Progressive caucus were taking heat from their constituents for being listed there.

There used to be an essay which explained that the DSA had long since given up fighting as a third party and decided to work from within one of the two majors. Since the Democrat party seemed closer to their goals, they were the best choice. They also explained the use of progressive caucus terminology, as necessary because many Blacks don't understand socialism and are afraid of the term.

It is rough to live in a district like that. Peter DeFazio is our congress critter and will doubtless be re-elected but we will register our votes against him and for the Republicans in the statewide races.
