I call it INAZI-ism, or International Socialism. Ernst Rohm and his book burning brownshirts are gazing up from hell with a smile on their face today.

Fascism had its direct roots in Communism. Mussolini was a member of the Communist Party of Italy before he split off and founded the Fascist Party. Nazism itself had quasi-Communist roots, which coopted the deeply Marxist labor movement of post WWI German society. Nazism mirrored every institution of the Bolsheviks. For the Communist Party there was the Nazi Party, for the Cheka the Gestapo, for the Gulag there were the Death Camps. We spent WWII fighting a Communist faction.

The Communists use classic misdirection when they describe the Nazis as something wholly different from themselves. But in reality, Hitler was to Stalin as Pepsi Cola is to Coca Cola.
